Xbox version: Long loading time and sporadic game freezing

I purchased the Xbox version of this game. I understand this is still in development but I have seen on the forums that there was suppose to be a patch that was to address the loading issues and the game freezing issues. Any ETA on this. 90 minute load screens just to get into the game and then a game freeze within 30 to 45 minutes is unacceptable. Especially for a game that was brought out to the public 2 years ago.

First, the game for xbox is less than 2 years old. Don't give false information to build a case. by the sound of it though, seems like you are playing on an xbox one which has very close to decade old specs and will run the game worse than the current gen consoles. Regardless of either though, play it on your pc with your controller. You can hook it up to a television and get the same experience but have an overall better time unless you play it through steam which is the best experience you can get out of the game.
Second, the game's overhaul update is being worked on. it's called seamless. it's going to change the entirety of the game and that's the most likely the next update xbox will receive.
Third, what forums are you talking about? Source please.
Lastly, if there is a bug or issue for the platform, why don't you report it? I've not seen any reports on the discord coming from xbox in a long time.

Earendel. as I was not aware the game has been on console for less than 2 years so I will admit an error on my report for this. The forums I saw were reddit and a quick reference or two on steam.
I did reach out to the company using the email listed asking about the update and if they had any suggestions if there was something within my (user) ability to maybe speed up the loading time, like a cache clear or some setting change that might help. But I have not received a response. But past experiences from other developers shows that this may take a while or I may never receive a response.

If I purchased this for PC, would I be able to log into the account linked to my xbox account so I would not have to start over?

Whatever account you have logged in on xbox can be signed-in on the pc. Same game library. If you purchased the game for the console, you can just install it on your pc. It'll sync cloud data, a feature you cannot disable on xbox. As both xbox version and steam version share the same file format, you can, after installing the game and syncing it to PC, move your save from xbox save directory to steam's save directory to play here if you wanted superior version of the game. (need to make use of the backup system and restore it using 'restore from backup' in the games main menu to move it back to xbox due to cloud sync issue. once restored this way, that new backup will overwrite cloud data and you can move it back from pc to console if you ever wanted to.)

Thank you for the information. I was able to also go to the microsoft store and since I had already bought it on the Xbox, I was able to just download it from the microsoft store. My save file was already there. It works tons better. Faster download also.
