No.
A major update is coming very soon.
Will it finish off all the "coming soon" skills?
Nope. Not even close to “dead”.
See you soon for the Seamless World update :)
Merry Christmas.
*Laughs in Dwarf Fortress*
In legitimate honesty?
More of less, yes.
BUT, doesn't mean you cna't enjoy it, and encourage your friends to get it to play with you, or even make friends.
When you have to rely on a possible, not yet to delivered, update...to bring players back, thats a big problem.
The truth is the game is practically dead, even the steamdb player tracking stats have been terribly low. Still a fun game however
Again, not dead.
There’s an entire room full of developers working tirelessly on the game.
I’m afraid you are not an authority on the status of the game and your insistence that it is dead is an insult to them.
The game is very much being developed and far from “dead”.
To be perfectly honest, the game is a bit rough around the edges and could do with some restructuring of 3D models/assets in dungeons and the poison island but overall the game is fantastic. I rarely ever give a ♥♥♥♥ about games but this one honestly shocked me with how in-depth it is when at initial glance it looks like an asset flip. Genuinely, worth a buy. First hour you'll be on the fence until you start progressing and you'll start enjoying yourself progressively more.
SPOILERS...
You can enter homes, yet then you discover their simply exact clones.
The difficulty settings seem to be very wrong, with normal way too easy.
The AI, we there is no AI. They simply stand uttering nonsense even when spoken to.
The landscape is divoid of any interest, except use of the same tree and stone props.
Like an MMO of 20 years ago in that respect.
I have yet to be included in a story.
Etc etc
Yes, it needs much more than a bandade, it needs a devs that actually play it.
As much as they have tried to copy a kind of Zelda vibe, it falls so short it´s embarrasing.
