3 paladins, 1 on spawn island and 2 across the bridge on the far away island. Once all 3 are defeated, fafnir will spawn. Even if an indulgence of anubis is consumed, the boss will not spawn until unsealed. Fafnir is a neutral boss and remains asleep until attacked.
Curious, what wiki & forum/net did you search?
The only wiki I know of for Craftopia is this one: https://craftopiagame.fandom.com/wiki
I started with a basic net/youtube search, checked the wiki, and finally searched the steam forum here.
ファーヴニル (Fafnir)

I was trying to avoid needing to make those, as I absolutely loathe grinding feces since there's no reliably fast way to do it. Thankfully, my second last available tile yielded an island, and I've finally got access to the boss. Thanks for the info guys.
2. Feces, saltpeter, and black gunpowder are often claimed to be slow when in fact they aren't. People, for some reason, only choose to do the slowest methods possible when a little bit of effort can yield all 3 so much faster and in some cases, hundreds at once.
Buttons for delivery quests I didn't know about. That's actually pretty funny, considering how the game introduces you to the world.
This information is taken straight from the pinned messages in #help on the official discord btw:
"Feces
There is a chance for feces to drop per cycle. Most creatures including the player it's ~30% per 20 minutes, or with a PET giraffe ~30% per minute.
Alternative methods to acquire
-Fetch quest npc's can reward feces (3) with various enchantments
-Tier 2 Living Skill "Structural Mechanics", when Lv. Max, has a 3.5% chance to generate feces equal to the crafting cost of what you place in the world. Placing a planter will have a chance to generate feces(1), and Medium Sized Planter a chance to generate feces(5).
-Tier 3 Living Skill "Contamination"when Lv. Max, has a 25% chance to generate one of a small selection of items including Feces(1) with one of many exclusive enchantments when consuming food.
-Highest Grade Gacha Capsule can yield Feces (1)
Saltpeter
Can be crafted using (2) feces at an Aging Facility
Alternative methods to acquire
-Supply pods may drop Saltpeter (20). They can fall every two to three hours real time, up to a max of three per island.
-Tier 5 Living Skill "Native Alchemy", when Lv. Max, has a 99% success rate to convert up to 3200 items (32 stacks x 100 per stack) at once into various materials which includes saltpeter, with the "generated" enchantment. Note: Using this skill requires the item, Alchemical Catalyst, which is crafted using 10 saltpeter among other items at a Potion Brewing Stand
-Luxury Guest Table. Talk to the NPC's that spawn after waiting the allotted time and they can occasionally drop Saltpeter(10).
-Highest Grade Gacha Capsule can yield Saltpeter (1)
Black Gunpowder
Crafted with Saltpeter (1) among other items at a workbench.
Alternative methods to acquire
-Lizard Gunner boss may drop Black Gunpowder (1). This is one of two bosses that can spawn at the end of Royal Tomb dungeons. These dungeons can be found starting on island level 3+.
-Burning Fafnir boss may drop Black Gunpowder (5). This boss will only spawn on level 5+ Island of big bridge and only after the three Sealing Guardian Paladins have been defeated.
-Machinegun Turrets may drop Black Gunpowder (1). These can be found on desert islands.
- Reckless Cows will very rarely drop Black Gunpowder (1).
-Supply pods may drop Black Gunpowder (20). They can fall every two to three hours real time, up to a max of three per island.
-Fetch quest npc's can reward Black Gunpowder (3) with various enchantments.
-Tier 2 Living Skill "Structural Mechanics", when Lv. Max, has a 3.5% chance to generate Black Gunpowder based on crafting cost of what you place in the world. Booster generates Black Gunpowder (1), and Prototype Rocket generates Black Gunpowder (10). Note: You'll have to find a location that will force prototype rockets back into item form if you want to use them to farm Black Gunpowder.
-Tier 5 Living Skill "Native Alchemy", when Lv. Max, has a 99% success rate to convert up to 3200 items (32 stacks x 100 per stack) per cast into various materials which includes Black Gunpowder as well all of the materials required to craft it, with the "generated" enchantment. Note: Using this skill requires the item, Alchemical Catalyst which is crafted at a Potion Brewing Stand
-Luxury Guest Table. Talking to the NPC's that spawn after the allotted time may yield Black Gunpowder(10).
--Highest Grade Gacha Capsule can yield Black Gunpower (1)"

some methods i'd recommend are the following:
-structural mechanics can generate large majority of items, including feces and black gunpowder. You can set pickup and place to the same key to repeatedly place an object like the small/medium planters or boosters/rockets (latter depends on where you place them as you cannot retrieve them normally). This method starts slow but increases in speed and can be automated with a single button triggered by a weight, auto-clicker, or rubber band.
Combine this skill with other building skills and you can farm gacha coins, money, and more.
-machinegun turrets spawn very frequent and can move them all to a singular point in water to drown them. They have a chance of dropping black gunpowder, barrels, gears, and bolts. very easy and efficient afk farm if you take the time to set it up. more turrets you move, better the rates.
-native and fresh alchemy can convert up to 3200 items at a time into various materials including black gunpowder and saltpeter, or various food items including the only way to obtain bananas. only downside is it requires alchemical catalyst to cast the skill which is made of saltpeter itself.
-destroying the purple flames of fafnir will guarantee 5 black gunpowder with various enchantments on it which is great for crafting gear too.
