Any plans to fix the art style?
Picked this up recently and I'm having fun, but it's tough to enjoy building your base when the art style is all over the place. Some of the models (example: wooden walls, cooking pot) have a nice stylization like BotW, Genshin, or a Blizzard game. Others (market, workbench) feel like they fell out of Sims 2 complete with low resolution grainy textures. I have a hard time recommending the game to friends as a result. If the devs invested in this area, I think they could attract a lot of the people who enjoy good-looking building/farming/exploration games like Stardew, My Time At Portia, etc.

Nobody would be put off by the graphics - assuming they'd like the game to begin with.

The workbench and market look fine, think the markets quite cute even.

That being said - there is a chance for things to have a new model or texture in the development time, though the things you mentioned are so far down the list of things to do, you won't see them changed for years.

The game at times is quite beautiful, it's quirky, has some fun mechanics and no gamer is going to be put off by the way this game looks when it has everything going for it, especially if that gamer has ever played a Japanese title, as they'd be use to the occasional janky texture (not that the ones you mentioned are bad enough to complain about)

I'd rather have them fix the combat system and animations first.... it feels so cluncky and glitchy... (or maybe I'm just biased because the last action RPG I've played was dragon dogma and this might have put my standards for combat a bit too high compared to the average of the genre...)

Yeah, agreed! Clunky is exactly the word.

I mean, I just said that I like the game but I'm put off by the graphics, so clearly not nobody. 😂 Even if you think some of the assets are nice (which I do) I think it's a far stretch from having a consistent style, which is ultimately what people expect once you get close to official launch.

Not necessarily true
I played Counterstrike Source and I got beaten to death by a Teddy bear with a dildo in a Disco rave ... (as an example)
Stylistically completely different to other CSS servers - custom textures etcetc

Things don't have to be perfectly consistent to be enjoyable , though nothing stands out as being so inconsistent it needs fixing right now.

You enjoy the game, you're put off by the graphics - are you going to stop playing it then?
You're not put off enough XD

Japanese games are well known for the occasional low res texture - I'm surprised you'd pick the Workbench and Market to complain about when there's the Dungeons on the Beginner island - Even then, all seeing those dungeon textures did was make me laugh -
because it's so typical of Japanese studios.
Think God Eater , Dynasty Warriors , Tenchu , monster hunter - etcetc

Though , even with that Dungeon having the worst textures I've seen in the game , it wasn't bad enough to ruin the experience. (I doubt they'll ever change it)

Don't expect any changes to be made for now , they're nowhere near the top of the pile

We're close to official launch? This is news to me...
