palworld get M16 Craftopia doesn't
who knows, could be added all into one game sincerely.
The 2 games run on different engines... So they won't combine.
But as I see it, Craftopia is the first try at this kind of mix between genres. And Palworld will just take one of the less developped aspect of Craftopia (the creature managment) and max it out to compete with the Pokemon series (it even looks like a rip off honestly :D ), but the rest of the gameplay looks the same : base building, automation, dungeon exploring, rpg... etc.

Still wanna get both games in my library !

If you look at the trailers, Craftopia looks more like a clone of Zelda Breath of the Wild but with crafting. ( while it does have some creature catching )

Palworld is more of a clone of Ark and Pokemon.
Palworld made in Unreal engine. Craftopia made in Unity engine.
Craftopia has a more robust base building mechanic and build options for the player character. Base automation does not require creatures. You spend your time gathering exotic materials to improve your gear.

Palworld focuses on capturing creatures and base automation REQUIRES said creatures. Upgrades are fairly straight forward. Any acquired abilities/skills/etc are for the captured creatures, not the player. You spend your time leveling and breeding your Pals.

There are far more than just that but those are the big ones, basically the only major similarities is the publisher and the game genre. If you like one there is no guarantee you'll like the other unless you're just a fan of Survival Crafting games in general.
Palworld is BotW + ARK. Craftopia is BotW + Satisfactory flavored with RPG skills. They're different flavors of the survival crafting genre.

Pals are central to gameplay in Palworld compared to Craftopia where you build around your character and pets are just options.

Unlocking technology also works differently: you spend points to unlock individual blueprints in Palword while you unlock whole tech tiers in Craftopia.
Craftopia is like breath of the wild, palworld is like pokyman lol
There's a lot more of a focus on automation in Craftopia currently. Like, tons more. You can build entire automated facilities that mine ores, smelt them, craft them into stuff, then sell them on the market with absolutely zero player interaction once you get far enough. There's far more emphasis on RPG elements in Craftopia as well, and there's scores of different abilities, passives, spells, and perks you can obtain in this that Palworld simply doesn't have. There's also way more options for building and crafting in Craftopia, but that might just be due to Craftopia being out for multiple years at this point. Instead of requiring Pals, crafting at a workbench is automatic, so you can set and forget, there's also a lot more different weapon types, and you can even get vehicles such as motorbikes, hot air ballons, jetpacks, planes, helicopters, and tanks to run around with in Craftopia, whereas in Palworld all these things are basically replaced with different types of Pals. In fact, that's kind of a central idea of Palworld: most of the things in Craftopia that are player-centric mechanics are delegated to Pals in Palworld instead (automation, skills, crafting, transportation, etc.)

At a glance, they look like very similar games, but once you start getting into the details of each game after a few hours of gameplay they play very differently.

Just to add, don't forget that firearms are also a thing now in Craftopia, for those who have the ability to craft them.

M16 look alike is not the only AR platform available in this game. Besides M4, look alike of pre-war Thompson, Mosin–Nagant, M1 Garand, Mk14 EBR, M1 Carbine, Winchester 101, Winchester 1897, (Collier Flintlock Revolver?,) etc can also be crafted.

very different playstyle, there's no real goal in palworld, it's only fractionally as coherent as Craftopia, which isn't even complete so both are just stages halfway in development of functional games. I think the pokemon aspect is what attracted people to Palworld, i found that wears off fast tho without a coherent goal.
palworld uses critters to help automate the base, Craftopia you use machines. You get all the towers in both and kill world bosses along the way. Really the only difference is in how the base is maintained.... and how you fight. Craftopia is more person centric, Palworld is more Pal Centric. If you like pets to do the damage/crafting then palworld... if you want to do it yourself and think of creative ways to automate, then craftopia is your game.
Palworld's ultimate equipment is some kind of pokemon, Craftopia's ultimate equipment is a tank.

Correction, Craftopia gets them too. You craft them in the Skilled Blacksmith bench.
Craftopia=Breath of Wild + Minecraft/Satisfactory, different game engine
Palworld=Pokemon + Ark, different game engine
