10k MATK magic build
I've been playing the game for a little while now and managed to come up with this build that (so far) has served me quite well, so I thought I might as well share it here in case anyone is looking for some sort of a direction to take with their own magic builds.

This is an overall pretty simple build, and getting all of the items and the enchantments is fairly straight-forward, although perhaps a little time consuming. There is a way to increase the MATK even further by eventually replacing the scythes, and also by getting the better versions of most of these items where the "Reinforced" enchantment is replaced with the "Underworld", but I found trying to obtain those versions of the items even more time consuming so I opted for securing 3 out of the 4 best enchantments using enchantment points while crafting instead.

Most of the boost to the final MATK of 10 000 comes from dual wielding the best version of the scythes. (For contrast unequipping both of the scythes drops the overall MATK of this build to roughly 2 000.) While using this version of the scythes gives a drastic boost to the MATK, having the mana consumption rate rise to +345% is quite a disadvantage. However, I found that you can actually manage this disadvantage quite effectively and still do well against pretty much any enemy/boss in the game by spending some skill points on the "Wisdom" skill that lessens mana consumption, and by having 3 - 5 different kinds of heavily mana regenerating food with you at all times. (Sauerkraut, Tomato Salad, Potato Salad, Pot-au-feu, Quiche, Shish-kebab, and Sauteed Vegetables are all good and easily obtainable options.)

Getting the rest of the enchantments for the rest of the items are all quite straight-forward and self-explanatory.

- The "Ruler of Indigo" enchantment for the colored glass (used for the amulets) and the bones (used for the mask) can both be obtained by defeating the Messenger of the Underworld on a level 7 island.

- Same applies for the "Teal" enchantment, except that you'll have to defeat the Messenger of the Underworld on a level 5 island instead.

- The "Hidden in Darkness" enchantment for iron ore is a drop from Kevin the Thief. Because Kevin isn't really a boss level enemy this may take a bit more time. Some players have opted to create "Kevin farms" which will get you this drop quite fast and easily, but it is also possible to just run to Kevin's spawn points on different islands and kill him repeatedly. In my experience it doesn't take too long to get the iron ores with this enchantment as a drop from him.

- "The Protector of the Gold's" and "The Never Ending Sky's" are both enchantments for the bird feathers dropped by the Griffin. Both can also be obtained by defeating the Griffin on a level 7 island, although "The Protector of the Gold's" seems to be a far more rare as a drop than "The Never Ending Sky's".

- The "Fully Blooming" is an enchantment for logs that can be obtained by defeating the Mille Belle Fleur boss.

- "Fire Spirit" is also an enchantment for logs and can be obtained my cutting down trees on volcanic areas (ie. right next to a volcano).

- "Shadowful" is an enchantment for the Reapers Spirit Scales. Very easily obtainable by defeating the Messenger of the Underworld a few times in a row.

- "Satan's" is an enchantment for a Magical Stone obtainable as a drop from Anubis.

- "Freezing" is of course the enchantment you'll get for stone or any ore that you mine on an Island of Frozen Mountain.

While there is quite a bit of grinding required, at the end of the day getting all of these items with these enchantments isn't all that difficult. You can easily start the grind with the bosses on level 5 islands (Anubis, Messenger of the Underworld) and the further you get with crafting one item at a time, the easier it becomes to obtain the materials for the next one. (Note: keeping up with upgrading max life & max mana via Slate of Growths is also important in order to maintain the balance between the MATK and MP & HP.)

Finally, let it be noted that this is by no means the best magic build you can aim for in the game, but I found it's a good intermediate step when aiming for even better equipment. I've found this build to be very comfortable for grinding different bosses for ever better and rarer drops and so if that sounds like something you're looking for, this might be something to try out.

JUST an FYI note, while you do have and display the power from 2 Grim Reaper IV's when you attack you will only receive the damage as though 1 is equipped. The game takes your attack (spell) one hand at a time so if you want to increase your damage I recommend replacing one Grim Reaper with a Shield instead with MATK bonuses (Bone Dragon Shield IV). I guarantee even if your MATK is lower than 10K you will do more damage with a shield equipped.

To add to the above, indigo flame cant be stacked.... you only get the effect of one enchant , the second is ignored. Dual wielding for magic is a no go.

The way to go for magic build is the bone dragon's shield with a select stack of the enchants that turn a percentage of your defense into atK and magic atk. Getting a good one is pretty random, you'll need to find a high level bone dragon and farm it for a while.... best version of the shield have eyes with a blue glow.
Then you need the skill that boost shields defense.

Also best enchant for magic builds is prince mono's.... it boost magical atk, critical rate and damages. It's the magical equivalent of the Thief boss enchant for physical builds, though it's harder to get on all your gear than the thief boss one...

Though I personnaly find it more efficient to make physical builds, thanks to the super easy to farm "dangerous" enchant that allow you to cap your critical rate and max your critical damage. Not to mention that physical attack is also what make you mine rocks or cut wood faster....

BTW, the fenris sword mean I also have access to level 4 frost mine with 8.5K magic atk...

I've heard about this before but after some testing it still seemed as though I got the best damage out of dual wielding the scythes. I tested it again just a moment ago just to make sure and still came out the same. Unequipping one of the scythes pretty much halves the damage I do per tick and even switching the other scythe to the best shield I've managed to find (Premordial Eternal Bone Dragon's Bone Dragon's Shield IV) knocks my dmg per tick down by anywhere from 500 to 2 000. Is there something here I'm missing? It'd be very helpful to know, since I actually would prefer not to dual wield the scythes, thus far they've just offered the best damage out of everything I've tried.

I suggest not just going for matk. Crits make a massive difference. Check this. Virtually same matk, but 83% crit chance with 93% crit dmg bonus and no mana cost penalty. The lightning ball aura ticks 27-30k crits per second. This kills bosses with 1-2 skills.

Didn't get some of your attributes because of bad luck finding bosses / getting drops, but in a few cases I opted for a crit attribute over matk one because the crit adds more total damage.
