Coal ore for amber?

Anyone know where coal spawns? I've looked online and it says that amber has a low chance to drop from coal ore but I have yet to find out where coal even spawns... anyone know where to find coal?

You get charcoal if you put wood in the small cooking pot i think.

Some trees on the poisonous island drop rubber, burnt trees drop special logs and charcoal, haven't seen one amber yet, not even from chests or gacha coins.

there are no coal veins but perhaps you can get lucky with gacha or lighting trees with a torch?

You dont understand what I mean coal is the most basic material in the game it should be easily accessible without having to light trees on fire and btw that gives charcoal not coal

Fallen deity has a point charcoal aint proper coal that you can mine its sub veriant you make from wood has almost the same qualities but it isnt Coal at all.
plus whe also need wood to make stuff kinda bit obvious that where trying to get the dev's give coal nodes

The info on amber in game, "mined from coal deposits". That means no trees. I have looked high and low in every map type and i cannot find coal deposits. Not on volcano, not anywhere. Although i dont think its fair to say that the devs "didnt put in the most basic resources", as coal is not basic. The fact you need amber which is found from coal for only one item i have found shows it is not basic. Basic is stone, wood, sand.

It is frustrating but the devs have been releasing patches almost daily. I simply think the coal, amber, and wizard hat are not implemented in the game yet. I have tried over 1k gacha coins i bought from high tier vendors and never got any of those items. Just be patient, devs have been very transparent.

maybe in the games you have played. not this one though. and in some other survival games coal is not even in them. so your every video game known to man argument is kind of bad.

ark, open world survival, no coal
the forest, open world survival, no coal
rust, open world survival, no coal
the raft, survival, no coal
i think conan maybe had coal, and uh 7 days to die.

regardless, ark, the forest, and rust are very old and very good games by alot of peoples standpoints. yet they dont have coal.
