multiplayer
My friend and I tried multiplayer the 25th with no success. We do not wish to mess with anything. We just want to select the multiplayer option and play. Currently we cannot connect to each other. Have they addressed how long until this is resolved? This is not a critique on the game just asking on a timeline if they have shared it. Thanks guys!

The only possible way to play multiplayer right now is through LAN or vpn(hamachi... etc) Me and my gf tried to play on Multiplayer though steam for hours until we tried lan.

No idea whatsoever.

So LAN is pretty much "pull the trigger" and you're off to adventure?

One of my stepsons asked if there was a "multiplayer Zelda like" game the other day. I couldn't think of one. Now I saw this. If LAN works and this is fun, I think I'll be getting some more Steam accounts.

Pretty much explains how to get multiplayer working:

If you get it right, it will work. If you make a mistake though or don't know the correct fields to enter these things into in your router - I assure you, it will not be an easy thing to get working. Essentially if you know your portforwarding and familiar to configuring private servers from scratch, you'll have no problem.

I would avoid Hamachi for various reasons I've explained in other discussions regarding multiplayer,

If you're on the same network you just use the IP connect option and throw in the hosts IPV4 address
Open command prompt and type ipconfig and press enter to find that.

if you're not on the same network then just use hamachi. Each person installs it, creates an account, logs in. The one hosting the game starts a network, give it a name and password. Provide that to your friends, they connect to it in hamachi. Then just connect to the IP address displayed for the host on the hamachi application.

Either of these works fine.

Port forwarding is your BEST choice in this scenario since you won't need a third party app and will have the full use of your bandwith for the data tranfers but hamachi is fine. Played for 6 hours with a friend today. Had some desync and bugs but nothing restarts didn't fix. Once they integrate with steam servers it'll be a lot better.
