I play on KBM and use toggle run. If I walk and press Shift once, I start to run. If I stop by releasing the W key, when I press the W key again, I walk.
Maybe try out holding-down run instead, you can change it in the settings.
yea I have the option that's why I'm complaining
It's a weird problem. I know ceasing movement resets it, my problem is that everything that isn't holding W should reset it. Like even if I'm still technically moving, it shouldn't hold onto the toggle. I want to press the run button and run, unless of course I was already running. No edge cases and no grace periods. I would like more consistency
