outlast 1 takes place in the 2010's
Perhaps you don't but that's not the case for most Outlast fans
Also, I've seen some people asking for Mount Massive Asylum trial because they want the OL1 experience and want another Outlast game focused on asylum which is a bummer for Red Barrels because they want to focus on new things and expanding the lore rather than nostalgia like most other companies do nowadays but sadly that strategy works most of the time.
Instead maybe RB can create a similar character to Eddie’s with obvious twists and differences between characters so as to create individual uniqueness. A man or woman obsessed compulsively with his/her appearance by stressing the point of always needing to appear beautiful no matter the cost, however, they are never satisfied with themselves. This individual will quite literally destroy themselves and others for the sake of beauty, this person thinks they are doing
righteous work for the greater good because he/she believes they are flawed as well as others (Reagents). Much of their ideals would associate to the time period of the 1950s.
Y’all want a skin? Oof, never mind, this is just an idea
