Chess mini-game
Hi everyone, I would be happy that you are all doing well and having a great time both in and out of the game.

I really like Outlast Trials, and what made me like it even more is that they put chess mini-game to make communication more in this community between chess lovers, and it is very nice to be surrounded by many things you love in one place! But what really bothers me lately is that I noticed that some chess players are using unethical methods to cheat in a game that is supposed to be played by people with ethics and principles, which is to use your mind completely so that you either win or lose with honor! But it really became annoying, because I constantly record my challenges with others in chess because I like to develop myself in it, I found that many players have an accuracy rate of moves exceeding 95% as if I am facing a robot with a high degree of difficulty that is unbeatable!

The important question is, is it worth cheating? Would you get the world chess champion award if you won constantly by cheating? Or would you like to lose over and over again until you learn from your mistakes?

My advice to these people is to develop yourselves by losing over and over again, and learn from your mistakes because in the end you are the ones who benefit! Your mental skills will definitely develop and it will become easy with time!

What do you think about this topic? I would be happy to have your participation!

I completely agree with you, it's really annoying and I'm glad someone mentioned it, even if there's no solution, but sharing it is enough

I completely agree with you. The true purpose of chess isn’t just about winning but learning and improving through challenges. Cheating ruins the fun of the game and stops people from growing and developing their skills.

Losing is a natural and important part of learning—it helps us get better and understand the strategies of the game more deeply. Winning by cheating has no real value because it doesn’t reflect genuine effort or growth.

Your advice is great: it’s better to lose and learn than to win unfairly. Thanks for bringing up this important topic! 😊

Agree!! overall it's just for fun not a competitive match, that's crazy how people cheat for nothing and destroy the joyness.

I'm glad we're on the same page! Sometimes just sharing our frustrations can help, even if there’s no immediate fix. Hopefully, others start noticing too!

Absolutely, you’ve hit the nail on the head! Chess is all about growth, and the journey of improving through losses is what makes victories truly meaningful. Cheating just takes away from that whole experience. I'm glad we’re on the same page about this—it’s about the process, not just the result. Thanks for the thoughtful response!

Exactly! It's all about enjoying the game and having fun, not about winning at any cost. It’s wild how some people lose sight of that. Cheating just takes away from the whole experience for everyone involved. Glad we’re on the same wavelength!

I'm absolutely appalled by those people who feel the need to cheat in a mini-game. Seriously, shame on them. You don't have to play with them, man. Let them cling onto the illusion that they're hot stuff.

Anyhow, I agree with your stance on this matter. Cheating does not help one improve their skills at any game. It'll only create a fake sense of accomplishment to boost one's ego, which won't last.

I 100% agree with you, though I am a competitive and a perfectionist person, I don't see why people get the urge to cheat because winning (or succeeding at anything really) by cheating isn't that satisfying imo. I've only been playing chess for about a year or so now and I lose in A LOT of my chess games yet I never thought of cheating even though losing really bothers me yet I choose to count these losses as learning experiences.

Cheating really ruins the fun and the whole point of playing. It's just a temporary ego boost, and it doesn't actually make anyone better. Best to let them enjoy their illusion while the rest of us focus on real progress.

I really respect your perspective! It's awesome that you're able to embrace losses as learning opportunities—it's such a crucial mindset for growth, especially in a game like chess. I agree, winning through cheating doesn't feel like a true victory, and it doesn't help you improve or grow as a player. The best players are often those who learn from their mistakes and keep pushing forward. Losing can sting, but every loss is a chance to analyze, adapt, and get better. It’s that process of learning and refining skills that makes the wins feel so much more rewarding in the end! Keep up the great work!

I am on the neutral side when it comes to this topic since I do not have much interest in chess. I can understand how flawed the system is especially when the players can keep farming wins by having one person constantly surrendering than come back to rematch just to repeat the same cycle. I think if red barrels address this issue and work on making a more fair chess system then this will help give a better experience for the players playing the Outlast Trials

Your perspective is fair and thoughtful! Even though you're neutral about chess, you still managed to identify a key issue that could affect player experience. Addressing loopholes like this can definitely create a more balanced and enjoyable system for everyone. It's great that you're considering how improvements could enhance fairness and engagement for players who do care about these aspects.

Just gonna say, I started playing chess even in real life just because of this game.
