You need to play on standard difficulty at least to complete the tasks.
I will help you if you like. I have A+ on all of them.
I did most of those on psychosurgery solo, and all of them on intense, coop and solo.
It is balanced, and definetely possible.
Dont rant, become a better player, it is doable.
To further stress this:
No strategy from the professional commentators for how they dealt with the cold. (Assumed lots of hiding, and stamina to run fast to make it from point to point, including anticipating when to start looking for hiding spot)
No strategy from the professional commentators for how they dealt with the enemies. (Assume the use of bricks / bottles / stun rig / other to knock them back. Use of bottles to distract them, increased sound and wearing headphones to hear them. Anticipating their moves and luck for avoiding them. Waiting long enough for them to bar far enough and moving away from you.)
No strategy from the professional commentators for how they dealt with the lack of batteries. (Turning up screen brightness / contrast, or edit the graphisme client side value, use of certain rigs to recharge it, not constantly turning it on and off to quickly drain the bars (I have not tested to confirm)
No strategy from the professional commentators for what controller setup they use to play the game. For me, I am in Virtual Reality using Praydog Unreal Engine mod/injector and VR controllers / wands. Although, after 2-5 hours of standing, this really wears on the muscles. I switched to using gamepad with the VR setup, and much improved for being able to re-act and buttons register an action when I tell the game too. I use the advanced gamepad setup in the game.
Some other tips: In general, turn on the sound and lighting indicators especially the sound one. That way you can see when you make a really loud sound which registers as red. Oh, and listen for the sound cues when an enemy really detects you and is about to attack or charge your area.
Plus, you really need to find more friends to play with. Ya, the game probably increases in difficultly with more players, but then you can balance more rig options, more chances to help each other, and cover more map area in less time.
Lastly, an extreme measure. Look for 640965-outlast-trials-internal-cheat-run-24. It allows you to move around the map in a semi-observer mode and not get attacked, so you can plan your run. I havent tried it yet, but it might save you a lot of head-aches. i.e., but also reduces the developers intent for playing a masochist game.
Other than the tips I provided above, best wishes... and if you fair no better, then maybe this is not a game for you.
Looping enemies is often better than hiding just because it gets you back on track so you can continue forward and they will take time to check a hiding spot sometimes. Getting comfortable with running instead of hiding will get you far on standard.
The targets on Deface the Futterman are actually quite loud, rely on your ears first instead of eyes. Same with enemies, if you hear your heartbeat you know something is nearby before you even see them. The end can be stressful when you aren't familiar with the upstairs and have no idea where the targets could be, but after a couple tries you should get the feel for it. If you want to explore the map without such a time limit, Open the Gates and Punish the Miscreants are the exact same map.
Also, crush the sex toys can be VERY fast with duo once you get it down.
Don't forget to find the presents, gives you extra tickets on mission complete. And if you feel up to it, Escalation gives event tickets as well. (but it's more efficient to just get really good at 1 mission and speedrun it)
