So what will Amelia bring to gameplay ?
How will she affect game mechanics ? Will she come out of hiding during the trials and help players with tasks before going back to hiding again ? Will she be able to fight the ex-pops ? Or will she leave items around for players to pick up ? What do you think ? :steammocking:

My first thought it was a short story mode or something, but it would be strange to already tell, that she stays around instead of actually fleeing.

Though i can't really imagine that much for the gameplay loop other than an occasional offer to get into a door to teleport to another door in the map, but i'm definitely looking forward to it, no matter what it will be^^

I had this lucid dream the night before, I was playing the newest map (Movie Theater) and I saw Mother Gooseberry. Gooseberry stood on a theater stage and was about to start talking when Amelia suddenly ran out from behind the curtains and slits Gooseberry's throat, obviously killing her. She said right after "wait for my call soon." She took off and Franco started singing for some reason, which was really weird but the guys was pretty good.

I doubt the Trial will look like anything I saw in the dream, but you never know with Amelia, she may ACTUALLY take a swing at one of the prime assets.

Unless there's a short teaser where it's someone else's fantasy, but that won't happen eventually:)
By the way, I like this design of the room from the dlc "Exotica Pack" compared to others in that there is a screen on which you can watch a small teaser.

This can be lacking in the game as a whole, so a movie theater as a new map isn't bad.

I don't like spoilers like that:XD
It's stupid because we have gameplay where we can't kill accets/prime assets, and that's not what Outlast is about: we can hide, escape (lure), delay and immobilize. But not kill.
Also, torture/experiments are present in the game, not just outright murder when enemies kill you (rare cases), and we condemn these actions - they are all relevant only to the game. And if you're a reagent, why is it that Amelia attacking another reagent can afford to stab someone and you can't?
Here's if bad things happen there: natural disasters - fire; undermining the reputation of Easterman; there was one version of the prime asset, something happened, and then there will be another (after the operation) it's still understandable. Why should I be in favor of her:? Then if she somehow retires the prime asset from the game, there will be players who want to be against her - they will find and deal with Amelia themselves, getting another endorsement from Easterman:)
If I had to go 'pure unhinged speculation' this is what I would guess;

In every major Trial (not MK Challenges) there is a chance for you to come across a busted spawn door. It won't be in every one, but it's obvious when you see it, like the doors are open, the panel is busted, you can probably hear the doors trying to close from afar.

From there, you can either continue the trial as normal, or take the door.
Doing so takes you through a transitional area, basically another version of the doors you go through that take you from A to B (like security office in KTS, etc), and alarms go off. You go through a 'backstage' like the tutorial area's intro, be it on a time limit or the like, and have to get to the end as a gauntlet of parkour or some sort of 'pick up stuff she left behind to progress' like batteries to power doors she broke for you.

What makes it difficult is in this, you die in one hit no matter what to whatever hazards there are. Prime asset chases, traps, etc. The game ramps up the difficulty to hammer in that because you're breaking the rules, they're going to break you. You don't lose progress or anything for failing, it's just like if you all die in a group or ran out of respawns in solo.

What you get for succeeding, however, is a significantly higher-than-normal payout of XP / tickets / etc. Maybe there's challenges or two specifically for this.

If you do 'escape' you get a cutscene similar to the Farewell Mansion when you bust through the final door-- Murkoff managed to cut you off, and you almost got away that time. Story-wise, they acknowledge your quick thinking and survival instinct-- something they'll gladly want to keep YOU around for (when story-wise, you're the only one pulling this off maybe, other than her)

Now, why bother doing this if it's a danger? Risking it all? No idea, like I said it's purely 'what i think might happen'.
