Mouse moving really slow all of a sudden
Hey all, as the title suggests, out of nowhere (no changes to mouse DPI, no changes to in game sens) my mouse just started moving slow all of a sudden. For added clarification, when playing the game my mouse is absolutely fine, it is only when tuning radio receivers that it moves at the speed of a snail and i cannot for the life of me get it to just behave normally. It now takes me 2 minutes to tune a radio because of how slow and sluggish this is moving. If this has happened to anyone else, could you please provide a fix or any suggestions ? Thank you very much!

Many things could be causing this. First that comes to mind is V-Sync, I can just feel the lag which is why I disable it all the time. However, V-Sync does not cause slow mouse movement, so that's odd. Try resetting your settings in game, there should be a button for it in the options menu

There are also some things that you just didn't clarify:
- What are your specs?
- When did this start happening?
- What is your mouse's DPI?
- What is your desktop cursor's sensitivity?
- (If your mouse is from a certain brand like e.g. Logitech) Do you have it's software installed? It might be auto-switching to the profile for Outlast Trials where your sensitivity might be 'really slow' and stuff. Honestly, this seems like the most likely culprit lol. I've had that happen to me a few times.

V-Sync off, im about to try and verify game files see if that helps. I work in IT and have tried almost every troubleshoot option i could think of but im at a loss :/

My specs are here:
Ryzen 9 5950X
RTX 4090
ASUS ProArt B550 Creator
64GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 4X16

Started happening a few days ago at least thats when i noticed it.

Mouse DPI is 1600, additionally i use 2000Hz polling rate, although this wasnt the issue, ive tried 125, 500, 1000, 4000 and 8000 and all have this issue.

Cursor settings are default and enhance pointer precision is off as its an acceleration and deceleration setting and i dont like it.

I use Razer Viper V3 Pro, no DPI settings are set, and in-game polling rate switcher is off. No updates to any peripherals were done in this time, it just sort of happened :/

Hmm, I'm sorry that I couldn't be much of a help. Try opening a support ticket over at the red barrels discord - I think they got something like that.
This has started happening to me. Did you find a fix? I noticed it happens after I use the Steam overlay and doesn't fix itself until I restart the game.

set your polling rate to 500Hz. Fix

Because they nerf it after winter kill update, all the radio tuning are extremely slow. But then they switch back in one of the shadow changing without telling after a few days.

Right now, only rebirth mansion (part of the radio )are slow tuning. but the rest of map are fine.

Answer from a guy who play trials everyday 2 hours. So I notice what they doing to us. Don't worry, some radios are buggy slow, but 95% of radio are back to normal speed now.
I believe I even record how slow it is after they first update change it too. It is not your spec fault.

I want whatever you’re smoking. This is clearly a bug.

nah, there's a period first day they release winterkill update, all radio turn slow. and they didnt write it in update as always.
I say this because I check with every friend, I been there before, didn't made it up for nothing. They kinda keeping this till part of the player mentioning about that in the period, then they made it back. I will say right now is a bug for those radio are still slow, because right now some of them are still remain slow and some of them going speedy.

is okay to not believe me dude, cause not everyone playing this game at the same time. Trust me, they shadow change things everytime and didn't list down all the things in one update. Sometimes they say animation changed in the update. but it is a complete nerf by shorten the animation by half.

This game is wonderful, but it is very unstable, sometimes even you report it in discord as bug, they say is intended anyway. I hope they make things clear, what changed, what fixed fully, not just written "minor bugs". Still finding bugs that reported 1 year ago exist, then call it "intended" and close your ticket.
