L for no local voice chat
what kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ ass reason could they have for not having local voice chat/text chat in the sleeper hub.

"people will spam" - mute
"people will use swear words and slurs" - mute, and are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me??? with all the M rated ♥♥♥♥ this game has. You'd think they'd be able to handle bad words in a game like this.

It's not like people don't already spam the invitations to everyone, AND THEY HAVE A BLOCK BUTTON TOO. which could EASILY been implemented for a voice chat.

Another example of this stupidity is forced text chat censoring that you can't turn off in GTA V online.... is that a joke? I'm pretty sure Trevor alone has 10x the amount of profanity than a 2010 xbox360 voice chat lobby in modern warfare 2.

Yeah I'm surprised that's not a feature, however as someone who plays with randoms a lot of the time nobody speaks and I'll just be speaking/narrating random stuff so you're not missing out on much. In fact most of the people who end up speaking in game chat are usually salty or just having a bad day so they'll try to be mean/spiteful or just.. idk how to explain this but I had some drunk lady yell belligerent stuff at me for like no reason :buzzed:

It's still super lame, discouraging player interaction in a game solely focused on an online cooperative puzzle game makes no sense.

This unfortunately has become the standard for modern games. Over censorship, lack of communication methods and getting straight up banned from some games because of chat activity.

TeamFortress 2 is the only game that I can think of that has no censorship nor any chat punishment. If people mic spam or are just unpleasant, I mute them, It's really that simple

I agree with your statement. But luckily, there are still modern games out there that uses text chat as an alternative for voice chat. The few notable examples I got are Texas Chainsaw Massacre and World War Z (that also has Left 4 Dead's pre-game chat system.)

From what I saw, those games don't have any censors and at least one of them are made for mature audience.
