But if you don't want to collect documents to read, here you go:
One reagent escaped, who was able to disguise herself as a pusher and escape through the ex-pop tunnels. Now she's wandering around the Murkoff facility and leaving these writings. Signed as A because her name is Amelia.
Indeed, the devs are getting us somewhere by advancing the background plot of Trails. But so far, the devs haven't given any definite hints as to what to expect. Maybe they will really add some kind of story event, or maybe they will continue to tell the story of Trails in the documents. Either way, the situation at the Murkoff facility is shaky right now, which should result in something.
I think the story event could be done in campaign style. But similar to being reborn, the Reagent must do this alone and would face a myriad of challenges whilst navigating through the facility. At this point I’d assume all hell broke loose and the prime assets along with ex-pops have escaped and are wandering the facility killing staff or anyone that gets in their way. The toughest and longest challenge yet, similar to the Outlast 1 Whistleblower DLC.
Who knows, maybe Amelia surprises one of the prime assets in a new Trial (maybe Winter’s chill) and kills them in order to kick off the outbreak at Murkoff. That would be a shock (not likely to happen).
Just some theories….
