There are variators that can make the enemies deal more damage, add more enemies to the trial, reduce the number of items, limit inventory space, more traps, and more.
Some variators can be harmless, too, like replacing posters with rats to collect, or Coop variators that won't be a problem if you're playing alone, etc.
There are also variators that can bring more Prime Assets to the trial, like Franco Barbi and Prime Time.
