You have to remember that Leland is unhinged and super strong, he lifted someone up with one hand using his electric cattle prod (Kill The Snitch). That is Chris Walker level strength. On this basis, Leland and many of the other prime assets, all possess remarkable strength. Getting tossed around by the blind guy, who has one arm, and thrown several feet is another great example. I know the blind guy is big, but still, that is an impressive feat of strength to have (I doubt some bodybuilders could do that). To be frank here, Reagents are up against literal super humans (Mother Gooseberry being extremely athletic for being overweight).
I think the bricks and bottles are legit, meaning, they are normal bottles and bricks. Any normal person would not be able to withstand the blows of bottles and bricks being thrown at them but the ex population residing in Murkoff are, quite literally, built differently. Some of the ex-pops have even been open up, taken apart, and sewn back together. They are walking corpses...some barely alive via screamer or nightstalker.
Without the means of protection via bricks, bottles and stuns...yes, Leland could overpower 4 people in a room because of Murkoff's enhancements.
