I really hate the puzzle mini-game. How am I supposed to know what the pyramid means? What does the "full" pyramid mean? What does the "empty" pyramid mean? How am I supposed to know? From trial and error? It's a stupid puzzle game and I hate it. Worse puzzle in the game and it makes the whole trial more tedious than fun. I wasted a whole hour trying to find out the puzzle code, I tried several combinations of the stupid number 3459. I tried 5493, I tried 9353, I tried so many combinations and it IS SO FRUSTRATING. Worst trial and stupid puzzle.

The full pyramid is affiliated to the final number, the empty pyramid is the first number whilst the second-halved pyramid is the second number and so on.

It's supposed to be from empty to full, some of the numbers are hidden really well which makes it hard. I struggle with them too sometimes

Empty = first number
1 notch = 2nd number
2 notches = 3rd number
Full pyramid = 4th number

While I can imagine not understanding which end of the sequence is which, if you tried other combinations before both "empty to full" and "full to empty" the problem might be somewhere between the keyboard and chair

It's not as bad when you realise you can step outside of the room and not get zapped. Still annoying sometimes though. Some of those numbers are hidden better than Wally himself.

If you are struggling to find all of the numbers, you only really need to find 3 of the 4 numbers because none of the numbers repeat, so the last number is easy to guess.

Because you don't really get punished for guessing a number. Each failed guess lowers the timer, but as long as you are not in the room when it hits 0, you're not going to take any damage. Coyle will come, scream about his cookie jar then go away, and you're free to try again. There's no time limit in the Trials, nor do you get a worse grade for taking longer.

It's not the worst trial I have ever seen. Outlast trials isn't just about cat and mouse game, it's also about finding the objects and solving the puzzle. It's good for your brains to understand the puzzle. At first, I was panic little, but I later did figure it out how to solve it. It's all about having strong eyes, memory skills, awareness, calmness, and well-prepared. Some of the numbers is hard to find, so you need to slow down and look harder. the numbers and pyramids are on the ceilings, walls, and shelves. The number and pyramid placements is RNG, so don't except it's the same location like last time. The good gamers can learn their mistake and improve themselves to get better. Bad gamers do not try learn, but instead blame the game without even trying to develop themselves.

Ok that makes sense. Havent ever tried. But in the most cases it isnt hard to find all 4 numbers.
