50% Off Starter pack?

Was there a time limit to purchase the reagent starter pack for 50% off? The price of the pack was always $19.99 For me, But Upon release EA Players would have half off.
So is the original price $40 And was there more conditions other than having the early access version?
Please help.

Possibly, many games will have cheaper pricing in ea from what I have seen.
