Yes Grind the Bad Apples is def harder in the early access program x
I believe around 130 hours. But I’ve felt this way since A+ing everything on early access when I had around 50-70 hours. My friends who range from 45-70 hours at the moment feel the same way and they haven’t touched the game in months.
Yeah I mean I A+st everything on early access as well. That’s where 90% of my ~130 hours in the game came from. Truthfully I think I started A+ing everything much earlier than 100hours. Even program omega no rig, no amps, limited prescriptions (minimum 2 players) A+ was just a formality for me and one other buddy (he has around 60
hours on the game). Again, it’s not really impressive considering the amount of time spent on the game I’m just laying the foundation of why I’m saying “I, as well as others would seem to benefit from a damn near impossible trial”

I just finished the first trial in 30 min only taking about 2 hits from mobs. I pushed the snitch from start to the execution room without being discovered. And the big guy with the sledge that usually camps by the exit wasn't there. For the first time since I played this I didn't have any fun because it was too easy.
Sure you can get higher difficulty once you finish. But where is the fun when you already know how to do the tasks and know where to go because you already finished everything in super easy difficulty. The difficulty in early access was just about right.
Unfortunately if you're already experiencing this game as "easy", you will find the same result (outside of some minor speed bumps) going forward.
What?
everything before ultra is baby mode.
genesis is literal tutorial level.
X is probably easy-normal
and Ultra is normal - hard.
With that playtime it's not the game which is too easy, but rather you being too experienced. Most of the games difficulty comes from getting lost in the mazes and needing to escape into rooms you don't know. And on top of that, getting all prescriptions adds even more things on top of that to make it even more easier.
Once you've reached that point (should be somewhere around 20-40 hours, depending on how good you are at remembering floor plans i would say), it's less about getting beaten or scared anymore and more about getting faster, while still reaching high scores (or speedrunning, if you want to get more competitive about it)
This kind of reasoning could be applied to literally every single video game when you apparently spend 80+ hours a week on video games.
I played EA a bit and program in X was a lot harder than current X. and ultra is a lot harder than EA program X.
generally my point is there is no medium difficulty.
it goes from baby mode easy to hard. and no real inbetween.
and then ontop of that the very experienced players are left with relatively easy trials overall since there isnt anything harder than ultra.
