Why are all the torture victims and corpses male?
Just wondering why all the dead bodies and torture victims are men, or naked men in some cases. I haven't seen any women in the same situations, the violence seems to be one-sided. Do the devs have something against men? Are they misandrists?

Seriously though probably laziness and money tbh.. generic corpses are almost always male in all video games because it's easy (and it comes with the added benefit of people not clutching their pearls when they see them.. women are wonderful and all that). Henchwomen didn't even start to become a thing until pretty recently, and only in some AAA games.

The nuns in the orphanage have the cut-off breasts of female victims stitched to them.

Cool jester bait.

Men are most victims of violence and perpetrators of it too.

There are many female corpses hung on the walls in the barn.

Female nudity is often more problematic, especially in the USA, so might be for that reason to prevent it from getting an adult rating.

Though i wouldn't be surprised, if there's also a littlebit of fantasy of the lead devs involved. Like if a lead artist likes to draw/model PPs, then it's not that far fetched that they would try to get the main attraction of a trial to be male.

There is not much. The judge who us tortured and killed is female but fully clothed. The nuns are sometimes used in violent scenes but the bodies are always male from what i can tell. To be honest the bias is pretty obvious. That said, having a lot of violence against women is a great way to increase criticism from women's groups and likely the main reason it was limited.

Have they removed some nudity compare to the Early Access version ?

Previous Outlast had male and female nudity.

How has nobody mentioned the fact that the victim in the Courthouse trial is a woman

I noticed this as well, and it's actually a bit immersion breaking. There could be a number of reasons, such as laziness, as one person pointed out. But in all likely hood it's probably because in the mind of a western game developer, showing a female victim that has been humiliated by being stripped naked is going too far. Showing a female victim of violence is okay so long as it's not too graphic, and showing female nudity in the right context can be okay (like a naked female cultist). But it may be perceived as "problematic" to take the agency of a fictional female victim away by implying her clothes were removed against her will. And you most definitely wouldn't see a female corpse sodomized, or a male corpse posed with his face in the crotch of a female corpse (these are both things you can see with male corpses in the game). I know this all sounds silly but some developers actually think like this. The most recent Saints Row game was actually supposed to feature a mechanic that allowed you to find clothing items by taking them off of dead enemies or pedestrians, but a young female developer found this to be "like rape." All it takes is one person to raise a stink.

Realistically I don't think there would be much outrage if they were to include this stuff, there might be an article or two written about it, as we've seen with other games that feature female victims, but I think most people who play Outlast games expect to be shocked.

So the short answer is that in our current climate, even an edgy series like Outlast has to be "safe edgy" to some extent. I doubt this will last forever though.

Female nudity is problematic, you should know this.

Playing it safe looks really silly lore wise, most of the items you pick up from dead enemies are male if not all of them. Listen after Pervert the Futterman I think they could add in a couple of female victims in the Trials; some of the male victims have hammers shoved up their anuses, holy freaking crap! Yet not one female victim is shown in any violent regard, maybe that needs to change because the whole gist of the Outlast universe is violent, brutal and unforgiving. Think of the women in Outlast 2 and how they were treated, that is a horrifying concept and made the experience way more surreal, in a disturbing tone. My goodness developers need to stop hiring sensitive people if they want their products taken seriously, "taking clothes off of dead enemies is rape" is a ridiculous take when other games exist like Fallout and Skyrim that enable players to do remove NPC clothing/armour for the purpose of lore and immersion. Way too much self-insertion lately.

Also the normal female grunts appearance could look more feminine, for the longest time, I thought they were dudes with high-pitch voices.

That is one women over the countless men that have been butchered and violated in the Outlast Trials so far
