Worth it for single player?
I'm considering buying this, but not interested in the multi part.
Is it worth playing in single?
I loved the original Outlast. The sequel not so much.

It's honestly not. if you're looking for single player this ain't it. but you could of course play it solo if you want but it's very difficult alone
I have like 270h in the game and 90% of it is playing solo. Definitely worth it for solo, especially when more trials and other content will be added. Solo IS NOT hard at all, it is even easier than coop since you dont have to think about you stupid (or not stupid) teammates and you are on your own making your own strategy to outplay enemies. Also it is so fun to master this game...I mean, getting better and better at trials.

It's totally worth it. I have almost 200 hours playing solo.

It can be a little difficult at first, but once you get the hang of things, it's a lot of fun.

But is there a single player campaign or it's just multiplayer with bots?
Wack Jan 30, 2024 @ 9:56am
there isn’t a single player campaign just the programs and trials and no bots for teammates

Guess that's what I wanted to know.
Not what I'm looking for unfortunately.
Thanks all!

program X is hard u just need learn spawn locations , everything else is EZ PZ.

"spawn locations"? That seems to confirm that the game is just a MP game with a hack to play it against bots.

As someone who has mostly played solo, it functions perfectly fine in singleplayer. It's not really a matter of whether solo or coop is better because they are honestly quite different experiences, though obviously personal preferences come into play. Solo is a lot more tense and strategic while coop is more chaotic which can be a lot of fun.

You keep mentioning bots, which I think demonstrates a misunderstanding of what the game is. It's a PVE game, so yes there are "bots" aka the enemies. These "bots" are not intended to be replacements for players.

Depends. Trials is pretty different from the first two games.

For me, absolutely. Over 200 hours and a very decent chunk of that was me playing solo.

In my opinion this game is fun in single-player just as much as it is in multi-player, granted the game is made with multi-player being the main focus so not playing it is well unorthodox to say the least. Now I myself do play it by myself from time to time but that is to mainly A+ all the trails which just fro the record A+ trials literally does nothing and is superficial and just for people to gloat.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

Dude, really? What game are you even interested in anyway? It's not a single player only game. It's a game that you CAN play solo or play with friends or strangers against enemies or freaks that are out to kill you as you go through trials. Trials can be difficult. But only if you know how to manipulate the A.I. I've enjoyed it solo. Still am. Multiplayer is alright. Still have to worry about them not messing up or griefing or trolling or anything. Do you really want to do that? Do you really wanna tolerate that BS? Maybe watch videos on the game. Yeah?
