- It stuns longer than the Stun Rig
- AoE Blind
- Gives players a speed boost (same as adrenaline shot) when running through the smoke.
The only downside to it, is that it takes a few seconds to actually put down and you cannot walk around when preparing to put it down.
Personally, I prefer the Stun Rig (fully maxed) because:
- Quick deployment
- AoE Stun for multiple enemies
- AoE EMP effect
- Faster cooldown if no enemy is hit with Rig.
There's more to each Rig mentioned but those are the features that stick out to me.
Blind rig for slower paced careful players.
Stun rig for aggressive quicker players.
X-Ray rig is for people first starting out not knowing what rig to use.
blind was nerfed pretty hard recently but even with that it still retains its status as the "better" stun
they both have their use cases though, for example if you're the kind of player to run where you please and speedrun through areas to complete objectives then stun is generally more useful than blind. blind requires a little bit of pre-planning while stun is just throw n go
as for heal, in most maps there's more than enough medicines to go around, and you ideally don't want to be getting hit at all. it's a nice crutch to have when you're newer, but the better you get the less useful it becomes
xray is just kinda terrible overall, if you're listening for audio cues and have a bit of game knowledge it's pretty much negligible
If I have a heal rig it can slow enemies and cure psychosis.
I can also carry 4 bricks at any given time.
- Stuns enemies for a decent amount of time including big guys and Gooseberry which no other ability does
- Replenishes Battery and Stamina on impact
- Disables traps in its path
- Can also be used as a distraction item if thrown at a random location to distract enemies (especially Coyle who has a stun immunity, the reduce cooldown when no enemy hit upgrade encourages that even).
Good answer.
Blind used to be my favorite , but after that big Nerf-o-rama, I feel it's just semi useless with awful setup time too. I hate it now. Stun is ok if you need 1 second break from enemies. I just play team doc and use Heal now,
They'll probably nerf everything even more... they have time to make lot of damage before full release. I used to play hours per day , now it's some hours per week...if that. Lost interest.
