New nvidia driver is making outlast performance really bad...
I got serious permormance issues with Outlast Trials after installing new nvidia driver (535.98). Went from perfectly smooth gameplay with almost all settings maxed out to med/low to even play the game. Please fix?

Why don’t you just revert the driver?
It's a good day to be on AMD. No but in all reality, just revert back to the previous driver and you'll be fine bro.

I'm still using the 531.18 - the game even warns me to update it because it have known issues. Whatever it means,i have zero issues in 1440p

I am on the latest public driver for my RTX3070 TI with perfect performance across the board, considering that the game is still in a Early Access phase.

Have you tried with tweaking the default set settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel for reducing the amount of stuff that have to be calculated and processed on stuff that is not that needed on any resolution that's higher than 1080p?

The issue has been brought up so many times, by so many people and was occuring only at the latest nvidia driver with RTX cards that this is not something on my end... When I'm on older graphic driver games runs smooth like butter and after changing it to the newest it hard drops to 30-40fps this is seriously not the case with "tweaking settings in nvidia control panel" bro. As I said earlier I even reported the issue to outlast team and they confirmed that they also received such information from others.

I'm so damn sorry for reviving this dead thread, hope you will answer.

What do you mean by "Tweaking the default set settings in NVIDIA Control Panel for reducing the amount of stuff that have to be calculated and processed on stuff that is not that needed on any resolution that's higher than 1080p"?

I currently don't have any performance issues, i just like to do as much optimizations on my and my friends pc's as possible, to get the highest FPS with the good graphics. We are playing at 1440p and now i'm interested what settings in NVCP we can tweak to get more performance.

I'll get back to you once I'm home with the set of changes I've made in the Nvidia Control Panel - all of em' are strict performance biased across the board.

Btw.. What is the max refresh rate on your monitor?
