Unreal 4 Games are intensive in this aspect generally, Instead of memory leaks i would suggest they are relying on more than just Ram, Potentially page files and caching of some kind for playing with a certian amount of ram, When that becomes too much the game collapses. Just a posssibilitity.
By any chance is it standby memory? I've had issues in the past where my computer reported I was using all my ram and I wasn't even doing anything, but it was just standby memory that you can clear using software like "Intelligent standby list cleaner (ISLC)"
