Look at it this way, other players are potential distractions for the enemies.
With the killers being AI I find it helps people not get so upset in comparison to that main 4v1 game in the horror genre. PvP games tend to just breed negativity.
Other than some people not knowing when to be quiet to not draw monster agro in the harder trials/exams it's been a very enjoyable experience over all.
I think the 40 something positive matches I had far outweigh the two negative matches I had. After finding the mute option (in the group menu) and the option to leave a trial if someone is trolling it helps.
Of course the downside to having a leave option means once in awhile someone will leave as soon as you all load in. Thankfully it doesn't happen too often so It's not a major issue cause the majority are just having fun most of the time.
I do hope they will put in some sort of pentalty for someone that quits so it doesn't get abused since the exams are hard enough already without being down a person from the jump.
