Sound traps
Honestly, what is the point of sound traps? The cans and glass ones almost always have a vault location right next to them, or in the rare instance that the glass traps don’t have a vault location next to it, you can just jump over them, which in my experience, makes less noise.
If the can traps don’t have a vault location next to them, more then likely you can crawl under them. You’d have to be damn unlucky to have low lying cans and no vault location next to them.
Only reason I think these traps can be a detriment is if your being chased and you go through one, you re-alert enemies, but even then, you probably would anyway, with bashing down doors and what not.
Thoughts?

I find them in a good spot, they dont completely screw you over but can punish you if you are not paying attention.

I would hate if sound traps worked in a way where they completely shut down a room or hall because there is no way around them.

When exploring while being careful they can be easy to avoid yes, but when panicking while being chased, you will likely hit them and it'll make it a bit harder to drop the chase since the NPC will follow the noise

I find the sound traps to be in a good place currently. They add a challenge without completely blocking off pathways. I for one was terrible at noticing glass and this caused me to suffer early on. I would take about 20X damage per run because I would constantly alert enemies. I'm glad that the slipper amp is the first one you unlock since I only started getting A grades after equipping this.
