The Outlast Trials

The Outlast Trials

Statistiche:
Hidden Ending Details / Possible Alternate Ending? (Spoilers)
So the ending of this game feels like it might hold some more hidden secrets. Maybe there are some hidden meanings or maybe there's even an alternate ending?

Here's some things I noticed:

-Why does it say "This is the dream" on the mirror of the bathroom? (I could have sworn this door was actually closed the first time I was reborn, I only noticed it the 2nd time around)
-What about that locked door in the room where you exchange the film reel in the Farewell Mansion? Can you open it somehow? A hidden button maybe?
-Does the country you are in at the end have any signifance? The placement of the flag right outside your window seems a bit deliberate - Also there's brochures as well as a welcome tag thing "Bienvenido a Cuba" in your room, just to make it even more obvious.

Considering The Outlast Trials takes place in the late 50's (1959?), you being at Cuba in the ending hints that Murkoff's work with the CIA resulted in them placing sleeper agents (reagents) from the Trials in several countries for later usage. It probably has to do with the Bay of Pigs invasion and the US attempting to assassinate Fidel Castro.
Well it is Early Access!
