This was a game I was looking forward to but wasnt confident it would meet expectations. It's a good looking, optimized game, but the core mechanics of the game feel strictly watered down when compared to the other outlast games, and just horror games in general. Multiplayer is cool but at the end of the day many mediocre online games can become fun when you play with your friends.

The objectives are very boring and having to move at a crawl when holding an objective item is super tedious. The game itself isn't really scary past the 1 hour mark and there is a severe lack of tension that makes the game much less terrifying. There are also pretty useless and unappetizing cosmetics that try to entice you to replay the trials. I really see the potential in this game but I highly doubt leaving early access will fix any of the big problems besides lack of content

One thing about the heavy objects, on the tier 2 list, theres a perk that allows you to run alot faster with heavy objects equipped. But i agree about the horror element, at this point i'm just speedrunning the program x trials with a squad with no problems. some cosmetics are worth the grind though
