Aye, I loved the Open Beta but hated the Always Online part. Complete dealbreaker on my end. Limiting the consumer is not a good idea and I don't understand how some people can't see that.

also why is it bad if you always need to be online? what's the diff of playing offline alone or online alone

I don understand people with no standards which just have the consoome product and get excited for next product mentality. Always online is bad and should never be in a game which you can play solo. It’s not a mmo

it's not made for solo tho so this doesn't make sense it's made for coop the main focus is coop

Well, the "survive solo or Coop" plus "Coop is never forced" says it's not exclusively MP. "Not made for solo" is not a good argument, even if it's a tougher challenge at least devs wants also solo ppl.

The game doesn't need a server to be played on, it's not like Diablo 3 for instance, but like Phasmophobia and if there's a solo mode, why not being an offline mode also? Sorry but his point is valid.

All that said, you still have to login to Steam, of course but this way makes a GOG release impossible, sadly (and perhaps this needs EOS or Steam connectivity anyway)

Same. I own both previous game on both Steam and GOG, so I have bought them twice. If this game is online-only, then I'm not gonna buy it even once.
