UE Crashing

I don't doubt this is a great game and hopefully the devs see this, I'm experiencing crashes in the first area and am happy to provide any info necessary. 7900 XT - i5-13600k - 32 GB RAM

I am having issues with ue4-opp crash as well in the first area. Soon as it gets to end of video on first mission while it's loading crashes every time. Tried fiddling around with it changing graphics changing dx start up options. Nothing is working so far.

im having basically the same issue and i have a 4070 ti - amd ryzen 9

what worked for me is setting my max frames to 200 fps. after i did that i haven't crashed at all.

13900k and a 4090 here, same issue. Crashed to desktop partway through tutorial, did so again just now in the lobby area.

I verified file integrity a couple times and that fixed it for me.

Same issue here last night playing with a friend on the first level. Had about 7 crashes every 10 minutes or so.

Once I stopped streaming via discord it never happened again however the accepted method seems to be verifying files. I've also read changing your FPS limits helps.

if that does happen, go to their discord and report the bug, will help them to fix it for you and for future people

Here's what I recommend if the game is crashing on your PC persistently:

1. Check The Outlast Trials Requirements
2. Run The Outlast Trials as Administrator
3. Free Up Some PC System Memory
4. Allow The Outlast Trials through Firewall
5. Disable the Overlay Feature (Steam)
6. Update DirectX and Visual C++ Libraries
7. Update Your PC Graphics Drivers
8. Clear the Download Cache (Steam)
9. Move The Outlast Trials’s Directory

For me, it turned out that there was an issue with the Windows firewall and after allowing the game through, the issue went away.

Just happened to be now. Now i'm scared to boot it up again haha. I haven't had this issue at all before and I have been playing since October of 2023. verifying game files right now in hopes of fixing it.
