i played outlast + outlast 2 in the past , and it wasn't that scary for me
does this game more scary than the older games?

For me : Nop.

It's more of an outlast where you have to achieve "goals" like in a TV show, which you can do solo or with others.

This is for me the least scary outlast.

It's scary/tense in the first games, after 4 or 5 runs it becomes less scarier. I'd say the feeling of "being afraid" becomes a "being stressed/tense" in order to don't mess the run more than being paralized over the situation/enemies.

no. i think it goes way over the top on the gore and trying to be scary. it comes off as very immature and just plain ol not scary. outlast 1 was the best the series had to offer.

It's even less scary than Outlast 1 + 2 and more vaguely unsettling. The opening scene with the vision installation is probably the most terrifying part.

no a game can never be scary once you add coop in it

the jumpscares are random every time so it does keep you on edge
unless u are playing with a friend on discord who can't shut up

I don't find it as scary but I find it more tense since there is actually a punishment for dying instead of restarting checkpoint.
