Killed by player?

We were party of two, three times a player appeared from nowhere and shived us? is this mechanic? how do they do this?

It's an NPC with a screwed up name meant to trick you.

Thats not a mechanic its just a ''monster'' or npc that's a fake he transformes in one of the players in the lobby just run away from him or throw something at him and if u get stab he usually runs away

Yeah the fake player got me a few time as well. Double check there name tags. Avoid it.

isnt that part of the "insanity" mechanic? sometimes u see a player come to u and stab u, but in really he's not really there as in its not your real teammate?
