It says "verified" for steam deck but I'm on linux Mint and the game won't even start.

Verified doesn't mean it has a native Linux build, it just means Valve did some testing and the game seems to work *on the Steam Deck*, not your Mint machine. Running under Proton is sufficient to qualify for verification. As an Arch user (btw), I can tell you that Arch (and indeed the Steam Deck) are quite different from Mint, different enough to the point that the Arch folks aren't really able to provide support for Mint.

Yeah I noticed that, but "protondb" qualifies it as playable and it's in fact, not. Not outside of Arch it seems.

It's working fine for me so far on Linux Mint 21.2 through Proton 8.0-4. My GPU is a GTX 1650 with driver 525.147.05.
