Crafting tools last ingredient?

I'm at the part to craft the copper tools and not sure what the last item needed is as there is no pop up when hovering over the ingredient to tell me what it is and can't really tell by the icon. I need 1 copper ingot three sticks and ? Anyone know what that last item is?

If it is leather I may have borked this demo run as I made the copper pick axe but then decided to look around a bit and made boiled leather out of my other 2 leather pieces from the wolf and there does not seem to be any other animals anywhere.

Suggestion is to have some kind of pop up textual indicator as to what the ingredients are, going by pictures if you do not already have that item in your inventory does not help at all.

na its resin you get it from the small of the tree you can pick with your hand

I did pick a couple small trees earlier, but from doing it just now after your advice it seems to be about a 20 or 30 percent chance to get resin so guess I was just unlucky before when I was picking everything around to try and figure it out.

Off to build a sawmill.

One other question, I'm now building the sawmill but need a wood billet to complete the sawmill. Thought maybe it was a stump that was needed but that does not seem the case as I dug one out and no luck. Then thought maybe I need to cut a log in the saw horse but there does not seem to be any way to make a saw to cut the log and none of the other tools seem to work for that.
What the heck do I need to make the wood billet?

I was stuck on that for a while too, found you had to place a log on the sawhorse and saw it. The button didn't always show but it should be F.

Then you put that same item on the newly built stump? and cut with axe, you can do it twice for smaller chunks that go into your inv.

Ok they must have done a patch or my game was glitched last time, Finally got the saw option when I put a log in the sawhorse as that never came up before. Sawed my billet but still was still very finicky getting it to lock into place on the platform but eventually got it.
