In 'Duty Calls' i can't jump on the ladder from the lift!

This is a frustrating game. I have gotten to the point where you push a barrel and a crate, to get on one lift, then you have to jump from the crates to another lift where you jump onto a red ladder. My guy doesn't latch onto the ladder and i keep falling to my doom. almost make me want to quit this game for good. whats the deal?

Yes, you can only have the "forward" key active when you hit the ladder - you have to release the "jump" key before you hit it.

I had this same issue, but the first answer to this post solved it.

Same issue, first post answered it. Poor piece of design; your intuition is to keep jumping to catch the ladder.
