Dr. Rosenberg is stuck

So I'm at the last level in Blue-Shift, after I get the fresh power cell. When I ride the lift up to the lab Dr. Rosenberg is there and tells me to follow him to the main room to start the teleport, but he just stands there. I tried interacting with him but he doesn't do anything, and when I go into the main room alone he won't follow, and I can't interact with any of the equipment. Any thoughts?

If this is the same glitch I encountered, then Rosenberg dies really easily if you attack him while he's talking, but can eat lead like popcorn after he stops talking, though he can still be killed. He cannot be pushed, talked to, anything of that sort. The glass in font of the switch you're supposed to flip never moves out of your way, and none of the scientists will talk to you, but they die really easy. Restarting does nothing, reloading does nothing, leaving the area and reentering does nothing, and loading from a somewhat previous save does nothing.

The only things I haven't tried yet are deinstalling and reinstalling the game, reloading from way previous saves, and progressively deleting recent saves and starting over from progressively earlier parts of the game. I'll let you know how those work.

I only had to go back to my save towards the end of the chapter Focal Point in order for Rosenberg to go back to normal. A strange scripting glitch with a vortigaunt was also absent in this playthrough of the chapter. I'm unsure if the 2 are related, but for those who wonder, the vortigaunt killed the guard behind the fence and then just stood there when he glitched. He's supposed to chase after the scientist after he kills the guard.

In Captive Freight, Rosenberg follows me up the stairs but won't enter the 3rd floor. Everytime I move forward, Rosenberg says, "Hold on Calhoun, I have to rest." He won't budge after that. Any ideas on a fix.

This is just a guess, as I haven't encountered that specific glitch, but rolling back your save to the previous chapter should fix it. Good luck, and tell me how it turns out.
