Didn't realise how bad this game is.

When I was a kid, I loved this game. But I don't think I ever tried to play on "Hard". I just played both HL and OP4 on Hard and they were decently balanced. But the moment soldiers show up, you're just pretty much screwed. Very very brutally unfair and unfun. And now I'm soft locked in a trivially easy spot in a garage between boxes. It's not like I tried to get myself stuck in here. It just happened by accident without much effort.

Alas, not as good as I remembered. Rant over.

I've been playing this for a few hours today to kill time at work. It's still nostalgic for me to play it and I still remember 90% of the maps, even though I haven't played it in over a decade. It's "fun" but it's not...fun. If you know what I mean. Just something to kill time...

I'd be disappointed if those marines didn't pose much threat. This is the only game where the military felt like the main antagonist.

nah, in half life 1 the felt much more main antagonists, or at least for 70% of the game

No idea man just completed it on hard and I had a harder time with vortigaunts when you get to Xen.
