THQ shows gameplay when it’s ready to be shown. They never fake it, either. What you see is exactly what you’ll get. They obviously didn’t feel ready to show it off yet. They have a lot of projects ongoing at the same time. We’ll see it when it’s ready.

I tend to agree with the sentiment, but I usually reserve judgement until I know a release date. If we're a few months off and there are no gameplay trailers, then that raises some red flags.
And in this case, I'm saving the old camp trailer for later. I've only seen the new camp one and I loved it. It really brought me right back in there, and it is where I have the most fond memories of.
So while I'm usually as much a skeptic as the OP when it comes to avoiding to show gameplay, I'm really not worried yet.

It's not about being worried or not. They already shared a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ playable demo that no Gothic true fan liked, and after all the feedback they admitted that the teaser demo was off the mark. So naturally, the immediate next step should be to show a gameplay demo where they have corrected all the issues reported. Instead we get a stupid CGI movie...

Even CGI looks meh. Elex 2 trailer was much better, despite game's being complete trash. Maybe it'll work the other way around. It also shows, that the game is still in half exictence. Old mine and camp are what's probably done for today.

Where did you read 'moronic'? I didn't use that word or any word with a similar meaning.

Why is it griefing? Because in a stage like this, forums are always flooded with:

• unrealistic expectations like the OP here
  
• unrealistic demands like "give us a definitive release date already" or "add Kazakh language!"
  
• doomsayers like "this wil never be released" or "this will be released in 2032 at the earliest" or "this game will be terrible"
  
• ... and many more useless new threads that should all be merged in one megathread containing all that poiintless whining.

Creating a game liike this takes a lot of time and effort. If you don't have the patience to wait for X until X actually exists (X being a gameplay trailer in this case), starting yet another thread to express your impatience or your ignorance about what it takes to make a game like this serves no purpose at all.

Hope this explanation helps to understand people who keep an eye on this forum to stay informed about the progress of the game and not to read the same whining over and over again, for the umpteenth game in development to boot. At least some threads have a clear title like "Add Afrikaans language!" which we can skip at a glance.

Nothing wrong with early access. Baldurs Gate 3 just successfully proved that. If/when you decide to list fanbase feedback as a reason for long development cycles, then IMO early access is a win/win and a direct reflection on how you appreciate the fans. LOL, speaking of fans most of you were not even born back in 2001.

The video was enough for me to see this as an upcoming disaster of a product. The main character shown in the video feels empty and fake trying hard to be a thug. Everyone and his mother in this video so far talks a really boring and almost a pain to listen British English. The video was boring to watch all the way up to the end. I have really low expectations from now on.

Why you think it is the main character? It is just a random guy, this video is supposted to show Old Camp like video before that shows a Old Mine. These videos at least show that important places will be really similar. That is a good thing.

It is not cinematic. It is in-engine capruted.
