Yes I get that but it's very rare that you do that in games. You either take a couple of things selectively or if you take all, you don't care to put back anything. Forcing an extra ESC press after every single loot all, in the off chance there may be something you want to put back in, is detrimental to the overall experience.
Maybe hold the button=Take All and close

that makes sense, but "take all" is different contextually here, than opening a chest and having your inventory also pop up like in gothic 3.
In this case my inventory doesnt pop up, so there is no impulse to put stuff back. hence the frustration of an extra button click after being okay with taking all.

If that makes sense.

No one will place anything in a chest/container 99.99% of the time so it shouldn't require extra time to close it, if anything it should be the reverse.

Im assuming you are implying that there will be inventory slot limitations or inventory weight management? The originals didnt have that, but im not against anti-hoarding measures either.
