They've said multiple times on both loading screens, store page and at the srtat of the game that you don't play as the Nameless hero in this demo. You must be either extremely ignorant or illiterate!
This product is for me, just like Gothic 1, 2 and 3, so I will purchase this one.
OP can vote with wallet as well.
graphically its ok, but gameplay systems are pulled straight from the original games.
and some of them are worse.
a remake is supposed to improve on all things, not just visuals.
You are right everyone can vote with with their wallet i don’t think less of people that like this new Gothic.
But talking about market gap is a bit silly. There are many rpg games where you start from 0 there definitely isn’t a gap in that regard.
Gothic franchise is pretty niche the only places where you come across people that heard or played it is mostly Germany and Eastern Europe the title “Cult Classic” is there for a reason this Remake was supposed to be for that Cult but to me they changed so much that it just isn’t Gothic.
If they marketed it as a reboot instead of remake I’d still wouldn’t like the direction but at least it wouldn’t be something that was supposed to be faithful to the originals
