unity would be better even, and thats ass
Nah, Unity has a bad rep, due to the leadership, and the oh so much indie trash over the years (Hello Digital Homicide). It's actually a really good engine, used by indie and AAA devs. You just don't realise it in a lot of the really good games because they tend to pay the fee, to cut down on the Unity branding.
From what I've read, CryEngine is actually one of the hardest engines to develop for because it's a lot less hand-holdy than UE5 or Unity.
Tbh this demo actually runs very well on my rx6950 on 1440p.
They also managed to not make the game look like a generic ue game.
Not a fan of TAA and TSR tho.
I think it looks great and still runs okisch. (I also tried LOW, and tbh there I noticed it is not the lighting and textures that matter to me but rather the detailed environments, so I have no problem with lowering settings)
