I love it
The music is godlike! The visuals are fantastic. The look and feel is spot on! The german voice actors are very good. The gameplay is nice. Very Gothic like. I'm also a huge fan of the UI. It's good looking with some nice animations.

I'm overall very happy with the demo. The first playable teaser was afwul, but this demo is really good. Can't wait to play the full game. Good job Devs!

More feedback
  • - I don't understand the combat. My char is constantly turning instead of moving backwards. Did I miss something?
  • I would love if the developers could implement a full mouse support while using the interface (e.g. clicking an item to consume it)
  • World interaction animations could be faster.
  • The player response UI options in dialogs could be in the middle of the screen. For widescreen displays it is to far left.

Performance
My specs:
Windows 11, Intel i9-13900K, 32 GB RAM, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER

Overall very good performance. But occasionally some micro frame drops.

Maybe theres a lock on to enemy mechanic that prevents you from turning? Im still downloading the damn thing hehehe, my internet today is awful.
Your take on the demo makes me hopeful though, we are gonna see a lot of criticism from people who never played the originals and want a triple A assassins creed clone.

I love the orignial Gothic game. Gothic and Gothic II are my number on favorite games of all time. And I honestly think that they have done a very god job with the remake (judging from the demo).

I think that yes you maybe right. It feels like the Devs implemented a lock-on mechanic, but I couldn't find any keybinding for it.

Textures and models look fine indeed, but I absolutely despise the (overly strong) vignetting at the edges of the screen.

I'm playing on a widescreen monitor. I didn't even notice it. But I will take another look next time.

Okay interesting. On a widescreen the vignetting is barely noticeable.
I like the demo, and I hope that an auto-pause function will be implemented when saving, entering the inventory, or other menus, either as an update or in the full version. It would prevent us from accidentally getting attacked and killed.

Agree that full UI mouse support should really be implimented for any PC game.

Great to know thx, i was having a hard time with those molerats hehehe, guess it has been awhile since i played the clunk originals, just a matter of getting use to it, no problem.

I really dont know what people are complaining about, just from the initial conversations where they insult you all the time calling you green and everything its already better than 99% of the RPG where you are the chosen one. Gotta play a little more of the demo and see where i can get to before it cuts, so far so good.
