Where the hell is Stone in the new camp?

So, I've managed to break him out. We went to the new camp, the quest log says he'd join the new camp, but I cannot find him anywhere to upgrade my armor...

Swamp Camp. Maybe a typo in your quest log, but he explicitely said this in the dialogue before if you didnt skip this :)

He is in the tavernt but no idea how to trigger armor upgrade instead he gave me some blueprint

I've checked the swamp camp since Google said so too, but he isnt there either

Its a option you get AFTER you free him from gomez prison....

You have to free him for him to appear in the TAVERN at new camp after you free him, but the problem is that there is no dialogue option about armor upgrades.

What's weird you can tell Huno that you helped him escape and Namless says that Stone now works with the Swamp Camp smith even tho he hangs out in NC.

Stone can only upgrade your armor if you complete the quest in such a way that he goes to Darion in the swamp camp. Only there can he keep working as a smith. In the new camp, no smith is needed, and he just hangs around in the tavern.

and also dont free him in chapter 4, wait till you got the ore armor, i freed him in chapter 4 and now in chapter 5 he is back in the old camp cells and wont talk to me so i cant upgrade my ore armor.

I was playing a Warden and he was also at New Camp.

IT was not a matter of exit, strone just told me go to darion so he can make key... Darion made IT only if stone will work for him 😅

Если он у тебя в таверне нового лагеря, то ты уже не улучшишь броню. Тебе нужно его довести до болотного лагеря. Это у тебя из-за того что решётка в его камеру открыта. Если бы её не взломал был бы квест где нужно сделать ключ, его делает Даррион в болотном лагере, кузнец в общем. В общем когда его поведёшь, бери руну телепорта в болотный лагерь, там ложись спать рядом с кузницей, я спал в кровати Кор Галома, потом я его магией контроля заводил в кузницу и после говорил с ним. У тебя появится строка диалога об рудной броне, если она на тебе, я одевал на себя её. Он её забирает. Идёшь спать день, не бойся он её вернёт. Телепорт в Новый лагерь, там идешь в таверну и забираешь броню.

Okay so maybe that's the problem, I robbed most of Old Camps dungeon in chapter 2 or 3 and Stone doors were open when he was in prison, so I never had to go to Darion for a key.

Damn I waited 25 years for a remake and still can't get the Heavy Guard armor xD.

It doesn't matter which chapter (I got the upgraded ore armor in Chapter 4) or which exit you take Stone out through. Anyway, I'll copy my comment:
Stone should send you to the Swamp Camp with a key blueprint and promise to go work there upon his release from prison. If you choose not to do this (the quest offers an alternative — stealing Gomez's key), he heads to the New Camp. I had already opened Stone's cage beforehand. Why the cage wasn't locked when he was imprisoned remains a good question. As it turns out, the game punishes world exploration, and this is not an isolated case. In the previous version of the game, an open cage did not affect the quest. I rolled back the game version on Steam, and Stone spoke to me about the key despite the cage being open.

as long as he is still bugged chapter does matter because if you play normally you wont have ore armor in chapter 4 yet and in chapter 5 stone teleports back into the castles cell with no option for you to free him again or to upgrade the armor.
