Exploit for defeating (and looting) Gomez, Scar, Arto, Raven and Bartholo in chapter 1
I do not know, if it is a bug or poor AI-mechanics, BUT I was waiting till 2 a.m. in throne room, so only Arto and Scar were left. I walked on a table and started shooting (longbow, dex: 30; skill level: 2) at them. They turned around but barely came closer, just some weired mix of sneaking, blocking and putting weapon away, and I finished them easily.

Tried the same with Gomez, walked into his chamber on his desk and shoot at him while sleeping- infact he came close and one tapped me, BUT for some reason he could not kill or loot me (because of lying ON the desk, maybe) and so I just had to wait few seconds for recovering and shooting again until he went down too.

Tried a second time- fell from the desk because of a crossbow hit from guards and they killed me instantly. So the whole point apparently is, to STAY ON THE TABLE! (I needed about 50 arrows for this "castle-run")

With Bartholo I just had to avoid a glitch, because when I shot him asleep, he fell behind his bed and when I took him down there he glitched into wall or ground and was unlootable.

The game completely glitches out when you attack from range. The AI is totally confused by ranged attacks.

Enemies just look at you with their weapon in hand but don't come after you, or enemies when attacked from range, charge at you, but then half-stride they just sheathe their weapons and walk back to their spots.

My own fight with Gomez consisted of me shooting a bow at him as he was repeatedly getting up from his throne and sitting back down on it, like he was tea-bagging his throne or something.

It's just more jank in this game.
yes you can cheese more or less everything in this game with range atacks from higher ground, like in the OG... A table seems to be enough :Gorn:

btw when i shot Thorus while sleeping, he just stucked in his bed and did nothing. free loot. After that experience, i loaded and decided to not doing it, and wait until the point when you farm the old camp anyways. just to save some fun for later.

So i can recommend, even if its possible, dont ruin your own game ;)
What's funny is that mobs have a lil better AI when dealing with ranged attacks, take the swampsharks for instance, if their hp pool drops below a certain point and they can't reach you they will start running away. Had to chase down every single one of those oversized worms when I was clearing the swamp in ch1.

Same applies to wolf packs: If you attack them in the forest from higher rocks so that they can’t reach you, the entire pack reacts immediately - even shots fired from a great distance -and begins to hide behind trees. They even seem to have an almost magical sense of when I’ve just drawn my bow.

Nor can I in any way confirm the fairy tale that our village saint once told - that wolves emerged from a cave one after another in orderly succession. The only halfway plausible explanation for this contradiction, as far as I can tell, lies in one of the latest patches. I hope the same will happen with this exploit - if anyone takes care and report it in the official bug tracker. I wouldn’t count on the developers reading the forums.

The wolves' intelligence is double-edged I feel in my experience, because while yes they do try to run away.. often they run away into the open and just stand there or they get themselves stuck in an even more vulnerable position they just can't find a way out of anymore. :D

Had it happen on my permadeath run, I got on a small rock in the northern tundra, started sniping the wolves, 2 just stood there taking the shots, 1 yeeted itself off a waterfall and 1 dropped down to a slightly lower platform and just looked at me up close, even if I stepped closer to it, it wouldn't get out at that point. :D

Frost Shadowbeast on the other hand.. That one can go to hell, I saw it literally stalk me, I was just trying to sneak by it, it acted like it didn't see me, and when I emerged out of the water under the waterfall, I turned around and there it was, no combat music or anything, giant Frost Shadowbeast appearing from under the waterfall..

Where can I find this bug tracker or where should I send a report?
I’ve known about this since the game was released. You can kill all the barons this way. It’s just stupid AI and a buggy game.

I really hope it gets fixed. But someone needs to make the bug report for it to get fixed.

I'm tired of filing bug reports. Enough is enough. What am I, a company employee?

Thanks, I did report, but yes, it is nothing I will do too often...
