Gamebreaking bug

after escorting dusty to swamp camp, he just follows me around and the quest won't finish. I've tried reinstalling the game, starting a new game and i still have this issue. Any idea?

Have you talked to Baal Tondral with Dusty following you?

Did you Bring Dusty to the guy that wanted you to grab him? I forgot his name, but he is in the swamp camp, and you may need to bring Dusty directly to him rather than just to the camp in general.

I have another problem, I bring Dusty to Baal Tondral, and I don't have this dialog with Tondral. So Dusty is folowing me in front of Tondral tell me nothing. Who have the same problem?

Yeap, I got a quest, and took Dusty to him. And he`s not reacting at all.

He is supposed to stop you and talk to you about the new recruit. You might have "skipped" that by spam klicking him while he tries to do that. Seems to be a bug that happens when you do that. Happens with Milten as well when he is in your group. He follows you for several days and despawns at some point. At least I hope so

Hey, I lost Dusty... how did u proceed? Is he ALWAYS following you or is it possible he stops in the wild if you are too far from him?
Can he go back alone to the camp?

I can't see him anywhere :/ In fact I'm not sure I didn't reload the save when I saw him following to the swamp camp because at this time the road was unclear of its beasts.

I really want to join the swamp camp :/

Unfortunately, there's no dialogue with him. I spent about an hour trying everything I could to fix this bug, including loading earlier saves and reinstalling the game. I have over seven playthroughs of the original Gothic 1, across various scenarios and camps, and I have, if not a 100%, then certainly a 99% understanding of the game.

But unfortunately, the quest froze right at the point where I had to lead Dusty to the final objective. Moreover, in the dialogue with him, after we've paid off the guards and I've led him to the entrance, where he says something like "finally, we made it," the dialogue option "I can take you to the swamp camp" is available, as if I'd met him at the beginning of the quest in the old camp.

What u said is normal. You have to go to Baal TONDRAL. Go to speak with him. And the quest is done.
