No, it's very much going to be released. With the tentative release placeholder of 'Dec 31' this year.

They revealed the very underwhelming imo collectors edition about two weeks ago.

For example recently the Collector's Edition for Remake was announced. We updated the dcreenshots on the Steam page, in March we presented our key cover art and in August THQ Nordic will have a Showcase, where something about Gothic 1 Remake will be demonstrated.

We didn't announce any release dates. All you see here and there are placeholders.

Hey, thanks for the info. I saww the collectors edition, but thats really more sales team then devs, isnt it? You guys got any updates planned soon?

We're working on the 4th episode of the podcast and there planned some other materials before the Showcase in August.

So you will show a short trailer in august. This means no game in 2024! Only in 2025 or beyond

Don't understand why that was so hard to inform the community. It took a post like this to get some information. This should be done on a weekly schedule.

Lol, how is this supposed to be released this year if they don't even have gameplay to show right now? I'm very doubtful it will come out in 2025, my guess would be 2026 or later.

I never saw a game dev give weekly updated. You want hundreds of updates across multiple years?

I don‘t think so. you still can buy and play Skyrim. It‘s not all about graphics, gothic is story. Gothic is life <3
