Is the triple orbelisk event pointless now?

Im pretty sure orbelisk used to scale with other orbelisks at level 3, making an ok risk reward by sacrificing all your 1/2 peballs for a very strong orbelisk + some weak at level 1 orbelisks, but now it only buffs your other 'stone' orbs, meaning that replacing all your pebbals now leaves you with a bunch of 1/1s until you level them up, and even then after so much upgrading you get like, some 8/8s by the point you probably dont even need them if you can let your build stale in that upgrading hell without dying, am i missing something?

they nerfed orbelisk so it doesnt buff itself anymore???? Bruh, that whole event is useless now then

Yeah I was kind of excited that they buffed the peballs but without the added oomph there's absolutely no reason to ever take that event :/ It does make the bumping of level to the Orbelisk worth doing if you've just got a bunch of peballs but still, should revert to working with all forms, not just the first two. Also there's so few times I even see a bouldorb.
