But it is pretty powerful because of how it works. Spinfection 3 will deal 30 + 20 + 10 = 60 HP total. Yes, it's over the course of three turns, but if you can accumulate a decent amount, it becomes boss killer, and is a good way to soften up other enemies.
The problem is, of course, inflicting enough Spinfection to have an effect. The only Spinfection ball worth using is Caudron Bubball. Sure, 1/2 is not a lot - but it applies up to 3 Spinfection to all enemies. Grubby Gloves and Choke Mod help a lot, as they add Spinfection 1 to regular attacks and bombs respectively.
And, of course, there is Spinsepsion relic. Which makes Spinfection tick up instead of down, and turns a decently powerful mechanic into an outright broken one.
The dagger that adds 9 i think it was at lv3 on a crit
The blob that hits everything with 4-5 on a crit (forget exact number)
And the relic to make bombs apply 1 spinfection.
That might explain why im not able to get 40 if im not seeing the ball to double it.
